Tim Cox Newest Painting -“Morning Briefing”
We wanted to share Tim’s NEW original painting for the Prix de West at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City next month. Tim won the Prix de West Award in 2003 for his painting “On To Better Pastures” and it is part of their permanent collection.
Here is Tim’s quote for the catalog:
“To start the day, the cowboys meet up. Before the men start gathering, the cowboss gives the hands a briefing of what piece of country each guy will work, and where to drive the cattle for sorting and branding.” ~ Tim Cox ~

The public is invited to celebrate fine art during Prix de West, June 7-8th. No formal invitation is needed, but reservations are required for most opening weekend activities. Prix de West is regarded as a special weekend in the art world. It is that and more-stretching into a two-month exhibition and the world’s premier Western art sale. Clearly, this is an event living up to its French title meaning “Best of the West.”
