September has a way of reminding the empty nester cowgirl that change can be beautiful. As summer fades into golden fields, cooler mornings, and earlier sunsets, she may find herself entering a new season of her own. It’s a season for saddling up on a crisp September morning, taking the long trail home, meeting a friend for coffee, starting a new project, or simply sitting on the porch and watching the sun sink behind the pasture. The empty nest isn’t the end of her story—it’s a wide-open gate to the next chapter, where she can dream new dreams, chase a few sunsets, and remember that some of life’s best adventures are still waiting down the trail.
